To set up the Customer Order Guide:
1. In Order
Entry, select Codes
on the
Options
menu and then select
Customer Order Guide.
2. Use the
Customer
box to specify the customer for whom you
want to search purchasing history.
To analyze the purchasing history of all customers, leave the
Customer
box blank.
3. Select the
Run Utility
button to begin analyzing the customer’s
purchasing history. The detail grid automatically populates with
the items
the customer has purchased in the past, along with the price
they would
automatically receive if they purchased the item today. If you
use any
discounts such as Discount Codes, Markup/Margin, or Customer
Special
Pricing, the price that appears in this window will reflect
those options. If
you click
Run Utility it will
automatically save the information so you
can reference it later. When you sell new items to a customer
for which
you have set up an order guide, you need to update it by
re-running this
utility.
Or, use the detail grid to enter the stock items from which the
customer
will be choosing. The price that appears in the
Price
field will be the
current price in effect for this customer—the purchase price
will be
Codes

updated at the time of sale to account for any new prices or
price changes.
If you use any of the discounts such as Discount Codes,
Markup/Margin,
or Customer Special Pricing, the price that appears in this
window will
take those factors into account.
4. To print a
list that you or the customer can use for reference, select the
Print button.
5. Select the
Print Current Customer
check box to print the Order
Guide
for only the current customer, or leave it unchecked to print an
Order
Guide for all customers.
6. Select the
Print Price
check box to print the price of each
item on the
report, or leave it unchecked to exclude the price.
7. Click
Save
to save this guide or click
Cancel
to exit without saving.
