Whether you ship by FedEx® or UPS®, Cougar Mountain makes it easy
This performs the following functions:
- Puts a shipping record in a CMS Export transfer file every time an order
is saved
- UPS Worldship pull the shipping record
- Upon processing the shipment, UPS Worldship write the freight amount to
a UPS Export transfer file
- Optionally, Cougar pulls the freight amount onto the invoice
- At the end of the day, UPS will write the tracking information to the
UPS Export transfer file
- Cougar will write the tracking information into Cougar's Data files
- A new tab is added to the AR Customer's Maintenance Screens and allows
to quickly get the tracking information by clicking on the tracking number
which then launches the user's browser and automatically does a tracking
lookup

Anyone who ships knows the potential for errors when shipping information must be entered multiple times. What’s more, getting the costs of shipping back to the accounting offices is another time-consuming step with chances for error. CMShip™ by Cougar Mountain Software Support including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions allows you to quickly and easily enter Cougar Mountain sales information in FedEx and UPS. Shipping information is sent directly from Cougar Mountain Order Entry to the shipping programs for FedEx and UPS. Customer information in Order Entry is used to ship the order. By linking the customer preferences in Cougar Mountain Order Entry to the shipping program, you can avoid sending overnight to a customer who didn’t want to pay the extra charges, and be certain that the customer who needs an order rushed gets priority. The Cougar Mountain invoice number is printed on the shipping label. Shipping costs are then returned to the Cougar Mountain Software Support including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions and entered on the invoice. Shipping costs and the tracking number also go to your integrated Accounts Receivable module from Cougar Mountain. This means that billing for shipping costs is much simpler, and so is reconciling your bill.

Using CMShip for FedEx, shipping information is sent directly from Cougar Mountain Order Entry to the FedEx Ship Manager. You can use Cougar Mountain’s Ship Via Codes to define the shipping type for each package in FedEx. Once the shipping information is sent to FedEx Ship Manager, the shipping clerk can quickly prepare the shipping label. The Cougar Mountain invoice number is printed on the FedEx label. Shipping costs are then returned to the Cougar Mountain Software Support including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions and entered on the invoice, along with the FedEx tracking number. Shipping your products by FedEx can speed your products to them. Combine that with CMShip and you’ll be assured of greater accuracy and the ability to track their order status. When your order entry personnel need to track the status of an order for a customer, the FedEx tracking number is right on the invoice. And a hyperlink on the Accounts Receivable customer record allows the user to open directly to the FedEx website and track the package without having to re-enter the tracking number.
